Hiding Place

The meaning behind this song relates to everyone in a sense that, even in our darkest hour we still have a place to run to. When you think that you've hit rock bottom and there is absolutely no one around that seems to care, God is always there to pick you up and help you get your life back together. Some of us learn that the hard way and some of us choose to go about it differently. Unfortunately, I always seem to learn things the hard way. But in doing that, I've learned many lessons from my mistakes which enable me to have the strength from God to get back up and go on. He is always my strength, my endurance. He gives me hope and never hesitates to take me back when I run the opposite direction. I owe more to Him than just a song and I continue to try and live my life in a way that is somewhat deserving.

Where To Find You

Many times as Christians we have the tendency to get caught up in our own little circular parade of self-righteousness and complacency and we tend to get thrown into a harsh world of sinfulness. We start "playing church" and living like Pharisees, pious and pridefully (Luke 18:9-14) advanced in what we see as knowledge of the Word, but in reality, we end up being more of a hindrance to the people around us that we have the chance to influence for the sake of Christ. The only problem is that we all eventually realize this particular flaw, but we don't know how to go about letting God take control of the circumstances and we find ourselves lost...lost in the very maze we dug for ourselves in the first place. But, I have found that in my own life, every time I've come to this place of desperation and hopelessness, I look to the loving arms of Christ to "love me once again", and He lets me "rest in His arms"....in the arms of King robed in majesty and splendor (Psalm 104:1), and most of all, love and grace. He will always be there with loving arms to wrap around you, regardles of what you've happened to come up against. (Luke 15:20-24)

Letting Go

There are so many choices we make everyday that have lasting effects on our lives. Jobs, education, relationships all impact who we are and what our futures will become. I have learned the hard way that when I try and make these decisions on my own without God?s help I usually choose the wrong path and get myself into a trouble! I wrote Letting Go when I was struggling with the decisions I had made for myself and the path that God had for me. Letting go of something or someone you love is definitely not easy, but the bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 for I know the plans I have for you, says the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope. The tears you may cry and the hurt you may feel will be very real and you will need strength to make it through, but it is my prayer that your pain will be put at ease by remembering the promise of God?s perfect love and perfect plan that He has for you. As long as you are willing and obedient to listen to Him and wait on His timing, you will overcome!
